It became the legendary documentary Hands on a Hardbody. Then an off-Broadway musical. Then, inevitably, a whole genre of copycat contests trying to capture that same beautiful, agonizing brand of human endurance.
We are the latest copycat.
And we’ll be the first to admit: ours is much, much easier. Nobody is standing in a scorching dealership parking lot for 96 hours straight. You won't hallucinate, your legs won't give out, and you can go grab a snack whenever you want to.
The rules are simpler, the stakes are lower, and the prize is, frankly, worse. But the spirit is exactly the same: hang on and see how far sheer, stubborn inertia can get you.

How It Works
We’ve stripped away the physical labor and the Texas sun. The rest is just a test of whether you can pay attention once a week.
- Check Your Inbox: When our weekly newsletter arrives, hidden inside (or screaming for attention, depending on our mood) will be a button featuring the Don't Let Go! logo (shown above).
- Click the Button: Click it once. That’s it. That is the entire move.
- Beat the Clock: You have a full five days from the moment the newsletter sends to find that button and click it. There are no "I was busy" or "it went to spam" excuses. Five days is enough time to book a vacation, let alone click a link.
- One and Done: If we send more than one newsletter in a given week, only the first one will have the Don’t Let Go button. You don’t have to worry about us sneaking in extras.
- The Pure Endurance Pot: This is the big one. It starts at a modest $50 Repurfect Gift Card and grows by $5 every week. Miss a single weekly click window, and you are permanently eliminated from this pot. The absolute last person clicking takes home the entire accumulated jackpot.
- The Participation Trophy: Blew your flawless streak? You are immediately demoted to the Participation Trophy track — a separate random drawing for a $50 gift card at the very end of the contest. Each week you click, you receive one entry.

- Open our weekly newsletter and click the contest button within five days. Miss a single click, and you lose your shot at the growing Pure Endurance Pot, which goes to the last person clicking. Losers still have a chance at the Participation Trophy raffle.
Why Are We Doing This?
Let’s be entirely transparent: this is a blatant, shameless attempt to juice our newsletter readership metrics.
But here is the twist — we don’t actually care if you read a single word of the actual newsletter. If you open it up, scroll past our hard work, click the button to save your skin, and close it immediately, we still count that as a win.
Look, we had a PR and marketing budget to spend. We looked at giving that money to Google or Meta so they could show you annoying ads, and we thought, “Nah, let's just give it to our Repurfect Rewards members instead.” Think of it as us paying you to remember we exist. We get lonely in Provincetown during the off-season.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
1. Eligibility
This contest is open exclusively to legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. If you live anywhere else, or are legally considered a child, you cannot play. Employees of Repurfect, its affiliates, and their immediate family members are also disqualified because that would be totally sus.
2. Contest Period
The games begin on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM EDT. The contest will continue on a week-to-week cycle until only one eligible participant remains, or until the specific tie-breaker scenarios outlined in Section 5 are triggered.
3. How to Enter and Stay Alive
• Subscription: You must be actively subscribed to the official Repurfect newsletter.
• The Action: Each week, Repurfect will send an email newsletter. To remain in the contest, you must open the newsletter and click the specific button featuring the Don't Let Go! logo.
• The 120-Hour Clock: You have exactly 120 hours (5 full days) from the precise timestamp our email service provider logs the newsletter as "sent" to click that button. If we send it at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, you have until 3:00 PM on Sunday. Not 3:01 PM.
4. The Pure Endurance Pot (The Winner)
• Prize Escalation: The Pure Endurance Pot begins as a $50 Repurfect Gift Card. For every week the contest continues with more than one active participant, Repurfect will add $5 to the total jackpot. The prize is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cold hard cash, will expire exactly one year from the date of issuance, and is subject to standard Repurfect Gift Card terms.
• Main Elimination: A participant is permanently eliminated from the Pure Endurance Pot jackpot pool upon their very first failure to click the official contest button within a designated 120-hour window.
• One and Done: If we send multiple newsletters in a single week, only the first newsletter will contain the official contest button. You only need to click once per weekly cycle.
5. The Participation Trophy Drawing (You’re a Loser!)
• Automatic Transition: Participants who have been eliminated from the Pure Endurance Pot automatically transition to the Participation Trophy pool for a chance to win a separate, flat $50 Repurfect Gift Card at the conclusion of the contest. This prize is also non-transferable, also cannot be exchanged for cold hard cash, also will expire exactly one year from the date of issuance, and is also subject to standard Repurfect Gift Card terms.
• Earning Entries: Each successful click of the contest button by an eliminated participant during a weekly 120-hour window earns that participant exactly one (1) entry into the final drawing.
• Missed Weeks: Missing a click while in this pool simply means no entry is earned for that specific week. You are not disqualified from the drawing entirely; you just have fewer tickets in the final pool.
6. Sudden Death & Tie-Breaker Mechanics
Because we don't want this contest running into the next decade, the following rules apply to extreme scenarios:
• The Total Wipeout: If a week occurs where every single remaining participant fails to click the button within the 120-hour window (dropping the pool from multiple people to zero), everyone who was safely qualified in the immediate previous week will be granted a resurrection pass. The contest will resume the following week with that group.
• The Infinite Stalemate: If the exact same group of stubborn contestants survives for four (4) consecutive weeks without a single elimination occurring, the contest will end immediately. The accumulated gift card jackpot will be divided in equal amounts among those final remaining survivors.
7. Prize Winner Notification
The last person standing (or the stalemate survivors) will be notified via the email address tied to their newsletter subscription. If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days, or fails to provide valid eligibility verification, they forfeit the prize, and we will probably just use it to buy coffee.
